Questions and Answers about the MP3s:
What is on these MP3’s?
The MP3s are not songs. They are spoken word recordings, full of positive messages to help you change in good ways. A “script” comes with each MP3 that is a word for word script of what is being said on the MP3.
How do I use them?
You put them on when you go to bed at night. Each MP3 starts with a short go-to-sleep relaxation. Then the script of positive statements begins. Each statement is repeated 3 times to an 8 second cadencing. This is based on brain research.Play one MP3 at a time. Play it for 30 nights while you sleep. You only need to play it one time each night. Then go on to the next MP3 and play it for 30 nights while you sleep. You don’t have to use earphones unless you want to. They can be hard to sleep with, and they aren’t needed for the MP3 to work.
How can they work if I’m asleep?
If you have old clothes that don’t fit you anymore stuck in the back of your closet, and you want to get rid of them, what do you do? You reach into the back of the closet and get them out.
Your old messages (thoughts and feelings) can be like those old clothes that don’t fit anymore. And to get rid of them, you have to go the back of your brain closet – to your theta brainwave state.
You listen to the MP3s while you sleep – which takes you to the back of your brain closet – to your theta brainwave state.
So do they erase the memories or what?
No, they don’t erase memories. They neutralize the memories by taking the fear and pain away from them. I have spent over 25 years working with people to learn how to say things to their brain so the bad things don’t feel bad, but just feel like something that is over with.
What if I can’t go to sleep?
It may take a few nights to get used to the MP3. Try turning the volume down so low you barely hear the music. You won’t be able to hear the voice, but it will still work.
What if I don’t listen every night?
That’s OK. Just listen to it a few extra nights for each night you skip. If you skip two nights, then add three or so. And you can listen more than 30 nights. Listen until you feel like it is time to quit.
Can I play the MP3 during the day?
You can play it during the day, but it isn’t a good idea. It only works if you play it while you sleep. And if you listen to it while you’re awake, your conscious mind can argue and try to block the positive messages. While you are asleep, the positive messages can go right into your brain.
Why should I try this?
It is the easiest way to change your thoughts, habits and patterns. You can get over the hurts of the past and move on to a better life — feeling better about yourself, standing up for yourself, getting along better at school, making smarter choices, and having better friends.
And these MP3s were written for you by Teri Mahaney, PhD, the expert in the field of theta brainwave healing. She has been helping people this way for over 25 years. Her clients range from NBA and NFL stars to underperforming students. She measures her success by your success!
What will happen while I’m listening?
While you are listening, you will be going through a process of change. And your process will be personal to you. Some people get tired and irritable; some feel like they are getting sick; some feel quiet and sad; some want to talk about the past; some have a dream or nightmare about the past. This processing is usually over in a few days.
When the process is complete, most people feel like they are over their past experiences, and they are free to create a better future without the negative effects of those unpleasant experiences.
How do I know what my process will be?
You don’t know until you have listened to an MP3 and processed it. After you have listened to one MP3, you will know what to expect listening to the others.
To figure out your personal style, you can keep a journal for about 10 days to track your process, with notes like this:
Day 1 felt fine, no change
Day 2 felt OK and a little irritable
Day 3 awoke tired and achy, angry/sad in the afternoon
Day 4 thought about some bad stuff from the past
Day 5 feeling better
Day 6 feel like I’m getting over it
Day 7 feel good about the things on the MP3
Day 8 same
Day 9 same
Day 10 feel really good about the things on the MP3
